Abstract
In thisexperimentaldataarticle,anovelbiomaterialwasprovided from Malvasylvestris and characterizeditspropertiesusingvarious instrumental techniques.Theoperatingparametersconsistedof pH andadsorbentdoseonHg2þ adsorption fromaqueoussolution using M. sylvestris powder (MSP)werecomparedwithcharcoal tablet powder(CTP),amedicinaldrug.Thedataacquiredshowed that M. sylvestris is aviableandverypromisingalternativeadsor- bent forHg2þ removalfromaqueoussolutions.Theexperimental data suggestthattheMSPisapotentialadsorbenttousein medicine fortreatmentofpoisoningwithheavymetals;however, the applicationinanimalmodelsisanecessarystepbeforethe eventual applicationofMSPinsituationsinvolvinghumans
